Assertiveness Skills
The common behavioural styles described by psychologists are assertiveness
non-assertiveness and aggression. When
people communicate, they tend to use one or a combination of these three styles
but not always at the right time and in the right ratio. This workshop looks at ways of developing the
behavioural style of assertiveness and as a result how to agree on a
conversational outcome and still maintain the relationship. We will cover and develop your techniques for
being assertive as well as showing you how to encourage this skill in
others. The outcome being that the
quality of communications across team members and colleagues should improve and
you will increase your self-esteem/confidence to become more effective in
situations.
